Hip-Hop, ya just don't seem to stop.

The power of Hip-Hop is unbelievable. No matter how much you may want to deny it, somehow it has effected (or infected) your life. A few years ago I would have said whatever color you are correlates to the way Hip-Hop has effected your opinion of American culture. White people=negatively correlated. Black people=positively correlated. Yellow people=no correlation...to anything. Take a walk to your local grocery store or better yet just sit on your porch and watch the people that walk by. If you live in an area with a decent-sized brown population, it should take no longer than 15 minutes to see a few ways Hip-Hop has changed our society. The rattling trunks, the sunglasses at night, the XXXXXXXXXL (white) t-shirts, etc. Although we are going through a time where it's become popular to 'Crank' just about anything from SpongeBob to whatever superhero you can think of, Hip-Hop has effected things you may not have thought of.

Oh yeah, even if you don't live in an area with brown people, don't worry you will still see something Hip-Hop has infected. You just may have to wait 10 minutes longer. If you don't believe me...

By the way, I really just mean to talk about the things Hip-Hop has ruined.

1) Hip-Hop has ruined free-throw shooting.
Before Hip-Hop...(Michael Jordan is not a fan of Hip-Hop, sorry to break the news to you)

After Hip-Hop...

In case you don't believe that was an air ball, let's look at a video from Ben Wallace earlier in his career, when he was probably into that gangster ass Hip-Hop music...

You may be saying. "You can't compare Michael Jordan's free throw shooting to Ben Wallace because Wallace set the record for the worst free-throw shooting in NBA history". And I say to you, "Exactly". In recent years free-throw shooting has become noticeably more pathetic. Ben Wallace's career FT% is 41.9%. Keep in mind, he is making $15.5 million this season alone. The thing is, Michael Jordan's 83.53% FT-percentage isn't overwhelmingly impressive. Depending on what stats you look at he is ranked either #69 (get you some) or #73. I mean I could be really unfair and compare Ben Wallace to someone who would probably give Michael Bolton a reach-around and who is also the #1 FT% shooter of all time. Mark Price (90.39%)...

Take a look at that guy. The only relevance '50 Cent' has to this guy is how much he should have paid for that haircut. Look at that fucking thing (take a closer look Toddy Johnson). But anyways, some argue Lebron James is the best player in the NBA today. He is shooting 70.9% from the line...

Hey asshole, practice free throws. You get paid $100 million to make them. Lebron not the best? You think Kobe is? The dude was raised in Italy, he speaks Italian. He may shoot 83.9% from the line but come on, so not gangster...

Steve Nash? Really? You think that guy can get jiggy with it? Anyways, I rest my case. The amount of Hip-Hop music listened to is definitely correlated to Free Throw Percentage. I would have made a graph about it but that would just be biting this dude's style. Oh yeah check this dude out. He probably makes less than a dollar a day...

2.) Hip-Hop has ruined 4:00PM.

Think about all the cool things you could do at 4:00PM. Yesterday, I tried to walk a block to 7-Eleven but the amount of shit that I received, for the simple act of walking, was enough for me to turn around and retreat to my house. Chicago Public High Schools usually get out at around 3:00PM. I can only imagine the hour after school is filled with marijuana smoking, 40 oz drinking, and most importantly (and probably influential of the other two) Yung Joc listening. But this hour, this very crucial hour, ruins the next two, at least. It is an impossibility to walk any amount of distance, even if it's to get the mail, without receiving some sort of rude and highly inappropriate comment. Making an attempt to capture these Hip-Hop-listening hooligans in the form of a photograph would be suicide. You just can't trust what kind of weapons these mistakes of society are carrying. So my best attempt to show you an example of these hooligans comes from Facebook...even though these Hip-Hop sonsabitches are probably more Myspace fans...

Or if you are from Evanston, Elmhurst, or anything else like that, a more accurate description would be...

3.) Hip-Hop has ruined...
